Seth Grahame-Smith Calls Out McCain

Published by Adam under John McCain, The Media

It’s nice to see that there are actually others out there who are sick of John McCain getting a free pass. From the Huff Post:

1) Is John McCain privy to some intelligence or strategy that would better our chances of capturing bin Laden?

2) If so, why hasn’t he shared this information with the current administration?

3) Would he rather win the election than see bin Laden captured?

4) Also, exactly which war(s) has he won?

Would somebody in the MSM please…PLEASE ask him any/all of these?! Please? Seriously — how many stupid things does this guy get to say before somebody with a microphone calls him on it?

Seriously? It’s bad enough that they call a guy who’s basically Dub-ya’s clone a “maverick,” but the free pass crap has got to end.

McCain Shows Age Once Again

Published by admin under Barack Obama

Senator McCain went after Senator Obama today for touring and giving a speech in Berlin, Germany. Here is what he had to say:

“Well, I’d love to give a speech in Germany … a political speech or a speech that maybe the German people would be interested in,” he said. “But I would much prefer to do it as president of the United States rather than as a candidate for the office of the presidency.”

I guess Canada is different for Senator McCain considering the fact that he was just there over a month ago doing the same thing:

Does anybody think that McCain is just mad because he could only get a few people to show up in Canada for his speech? Or that he couldn’t get 200,000 Americans at a rally for him?

Full Transcript of Barack Obama’s Speech in Berlin

Published by admin under Barack Obama, Speeches

Barack ObamaThank you to the citizens of Berlin and to the people of Germany. Let me thank Chancellor Merkel and Foreign Minister Steinmeier for welcoming me earlier today. Thank you Mayor Wowereit, the Berlin Senate, the police, and most of all thank you for this welcome.

I come to Berlin as so many of my countrymen have come before. Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen - a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world.

I know that I don’t look like the Americans who’ve previously spoken in this great city. The journey that led me here is improbable. My mother was born in the heartland of America, but my father grew up herding goats in Kenya. His father - my grandfather - was a cook, a domestic servant to the British.

At the height of the Cold War, my father decided, like so many others in the forgotten corners of the world, that his yearning - his dream - required the freedom and opportunity promised by the West. And so he wrote letter after letter to universities all across America until somebody, somewhere answered his prayer for a better life.
