Ebert Agrees On Palin

Published by Adam under Celebs, Sarah Palin

Fro HuffPost:

I want a vice president who is better, wiser, well-traveled, has met world leaders, who three months ago had an opinion on Iraq. Someone who doesn’t repeat bald- faced lies about earmarks and the Bridge to Nowhere.- Roger Ebert

Matt Damon: Palin A “Bad Disney Movie”

Published by Adam under Barack Obama, Celebs, Sarah Palin, Video

Matt Damon puts this in perspective. I totally agree. Why is it that we kept going for the ordinary, someone-I can-have-a-beer-with candidate instead of the best one? I don’t know about you, but I want someone extraordinary in that Oval Office. My ego’s not too fragile to say that I want a smarter, better man or woman than me as our next President. Apparently, that isn’t true with those who lean to the right. I don’t want someone regular–I want someone extraordinary as the leader of the free world. Someone the world can look up to, not down on.

The Shady Story Of Hillary And Peter Paul

Even I had never really heard too much about this before today, and I thought I was an expert on Clinton sleaze. I guess this is part of the Clinton “dump truck” of dirt Barack Obama referred to yesterday. Definitely worth checking out…

Brilliant documentary filmmaker Michael Moore revealed last night that he cannot see himself voting for Hillary Clinton because of her 2002 vote authorizing the Iraq war. Here’s the footage from his Larry King appearance…

Obama Gets “Raging Bull” of an Endorsement

Robert De NiroThat’s right; today, one of my heroes, Robert De Niro, endorsed another one of my heroes, Barack Obama.

Al Capone. Jimmy The Jet. Jake La Motta. Sam “Ace” Rothstein. Travis Bickle. Vito Corleone. The tough guy roles go on and on, but today the tough guy actor was on a roll.

From the N.Y. Observer:

Robert De Niro has shown up to pitch for Barack Obama, just as the rumor had it, here at the Izod Center at the Meadowlands. He’s looking sporty in a blue blazer. “Barack Obama does not have the experience to be president of the United States” is his opening line. For one thing: “He wasn’t experienced enough to authorize the invasion of Iraq.”

“And that’s not all,” he went on. “It’s clear Barack Obama does not have the experience to let the special interests run the government.”…

“That’s the kind of inexperience I can get used to,” said DeNiro.

“I’ve never made a speech like this at a political event before,” he said. “Sooo, what am I doing here?”

“Finally, one person has inspired me,” he said. Guess who!

“Lemme just speak to you young people here,” he continued. “The rest of you can listen –it’s okay. I’ve been concerned that so many of you aren’t voting…. No one inspired you. You wanted to vote, you just didn’t have anyone you wanted to vote for. You know what? I felt the same. Until now.”

I love it. He really put a hit on Hillary without calling her out, and at the same time vouched for Goodfella Obama. Bobby, you are definitely in my circle of trust!
